14 Years of ISO 20000: Retail Assist Pass Yet Again!

Following a recent audit, British Standards Institution have confirmed the continuation of Retail Assist’s ISO accreditation. ISO 20000 sets out the method of best practice for IT service providers and is the only standard that confirms ITIL conformity.

We were first awarded ISO 20000 accreditation in 2008 for the systematic approach we took in managing IT services for our customers, we were the first retail-specific service provider to have gained ISO accreditation. We’ve certainly come a long way since 2008, however developing a culture of continuous improvement at our core demonstrates our ability to provide a consistent approach. We focus on the detection of problems before they occur throughout all of the services and solutions we provide.

Kevin Greathead, Managing Director at Retail Assist comments: “The ISO standard fits in with our ethos of putting clients’ requirements at the heart of our business. Our accreditation demonstrates our commitment to quality practice and to excellent service and formalises processes and procedures such as our adherence to ITIL which have enabled us to grow.“We play an enabling role in helping our clients to evolve and put an efficient IT strategy in place. Our ISO 20000 status takes things a step further.”

Jan Benjamin, Service Delivery Manager at Retail Assist explains: “Everyone at Retail Assist works hard to make this internationally recognised accreditation possible. We see ISO 20000 as an endorsement of our ITIL processes, technology, and people, we believe its framework will help support continuous improvement and the growth of Retail Assist as a whole.”

Although many businesses achieve this level of certification, many only do so for parts of their business – Retail Assist has achieved it across the entire company, which is a real credit to every one of us. We’re lucky to work with brilliant people and these accreditations are just a small insight into the brilliant work they achieve on a daily basis.
